Affiliate and advertising disclosure
Disclosure
Some links may be affiliate links. If you make a purchase through them, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you.
As an Amazon Associate, Altavia earns from qualifying purchases.
Amazon
When we link to Amazon (for example, to a search for headlamps or trekking poles), the link includes our affiliate ID. If you buy after clicking, Amazon pays us a small commission. The price for you is the same. We do not show fixed prices because they change constantly: always check them on Amazon.
NMshop, the publisher’s store
NMshop (nmshopoutdoor.store) is an outdoor gear store run by the same owner who publishes Altavia. We promote it on the site —in the header, in some sections and in gear articles— and we always disclose that relationship. Links to NMshop carry tracking parameters (UTM) to measure which sections generate visits, without sharing your personal data.
Advertising
Altavia shows Google AdSense ads. Advertisers do not decide what we publish or how we tell it. Ads are labelled “Advertisement” and are never placed above the headline or in a way that hides the content.
Our commitment
- Commissions or promotion do not influence which type of product we recommend or how we assess it.
- We do not publish product tests we have not carried out. We distinguish between buying guides, comparisons, analysis and opinion.
- Affiliate links carry the
rel="sponsored"attribute. - Every page with affiliate links shows a notice before the links.
- Sponsored content, if any, is clearly identified as such.
